Enable TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot on Biostar
This guide walks you through Biostar Racing and Valkyrie boards at a calm pace. You will turn on two security settings that Windows and many games look for. TPM options live under Advanced → Trusted Computing—follow each step once, and nothing is final until you save.

Older Biostar firmware asks you to choose dTPM (a plug-in module) or PTT under TPM Device Selection. Choose PTT when no module is installed.
Newer Valkyrie firmware often manages TPM through Security Device Support with automatic detection.
On older B450 / X470 boards, set AMD fTPM switch under Advanced → Trusted Computing to Enable Firmware TPM.
Before you begin
Don't worry if your BIOS looks slightly different. Manufacturers often update colours and layouts, but the menu names are usually the same.
Enter BIOS
Turn the PC on and tap Del repeatedly right after power-on until you enter BIOS (your motherboard's settings menu). If Windows starts instead, restart and try again a little sooner.
Switch to Advanced Mode
Use the arrow keys to open the Advanced menu. The Trusted Computing options you need are inside this section.
Intel steps (Intel PTT)
Enable Intel PTT (TPM 2.0)
Open Advanced → Trusted Computing. TPM 2.0 is a small security feature Windows checks for; on Intel Biostar boards it is labeled PTT under TPM Device Selection.
- Set Security Device Support to Enabled.
- Under TPM Device Selection, choose PTT.
Warning: if Security Device Support is Enabled but TPM Device Selection stays on dTPM with no physical module installed, Windows will report that no compatible TPM was found.
Disable CSM
Open Boot → CSM Support. CSM is an older compatibility layer; Secure Boot needs it turned off. Set CSM Support to Disabled.
Enable Secure Boot
Open Security → Secure Boot. Secure Boot is a check that only trusted software is allowed to start Windows.
- Set Secure Boot to Enabled.
- Confirm Secure Boot Mode is set to Standard.
- If key verification fails, select Restore Factory Keys.
Save & Exit
Press F10, select Yes, and let the PC restart into Windows.
AMD steps (AMD fTPM)
Enable AMD fTPM
Open Advanced → Trusted Computing. TPM 2.0 is a small security feature Windows checks for; on AMD Biostar boards it is labeled Enable Firmware TPM or AMD CPU fTPM.
- Set Security Device Support to Enabled.
- Under TPM Device Selection, choose Enable Firmware TPM (or AMD CPU fTPM).
Warning: if Security Device Support is Enabled but TPM Device Selection stays on dTPM with no physical module installed, Windows will report that no compatible TPM was found.

Troubleshooting
